Job Details:

* Work day shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM on a 13-week contract
* On-call required after shift hours Friday through Sunday during scheduled weeks
* Must be available for at least two days of call each week and 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule depending on need
* Minimum of 5 weekend shifts per contract required
* Overtime days required each week
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Floating required to other units or campuses based on census and only to units qualified and trained in; may float to the Main OR if CVOR volume is low
* Average of 3 hearts per day
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* 2 years of experience required with Level I Trauma experience
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
* Travel pairs and trios are welcome
* Must have active CST certification through NBSTSA; pending certifications are not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, CST through NBSTSA
* Required clinical skills include CVOR experience and First Assist roles
* Must be proficient in: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atherectomy, ASD repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, ECMO, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, and VAD management
* Additional skills checklist required to be completed, including mesh measuring and additional timeout for retained or additional foreign objects
* All time-off requests must be submitted with the application and will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking

This facility is an 864-bed acute care teaching hospital and serves as the region's premier referral center for the Upstate South Carolina area. It holds designations as a Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and has achieved Magnet status for nursing excellence. The hospital is home to the region's only solid organ transplant center and supports advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures through its dedicated CVOR department.
