Job Details:

* Work Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM; department is closed on Fridays with call team only
* 4 shifts of orientation provided in the department
* Surgical scrubs provided
* Free parking available
* Circulate a variety of case types including general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, GYN, OB (C-sections), endoscopic procedures, and urology
* Approximately 8-10 cases performed per day
* No robotics, high-level traumas, or neuro cases
* Must be comfortable learning and taking on Pre-op and PACU duties as needed
* Must be comfortable monitoring patients on cardiac monitors and interpreting cardiac rhythms, particularly during callback
* RNs will transport patients (no transporter on staff)
* RNs will assist with turning over and cleaning rooms (no housekeeping on staff)
* Call requirement: 4-8 call shifts per month from 4:30 PM to 7:00 AM the following day
* 1 weekend of call per month (Friday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM)
* 20-minute response time required for call
* Holiday call coverage required for 1 summer and 1 winter major holiday
* No floating required
* Minimum 2 years of OR experience required; 1 year may be considered if experienced with all specialties offered
* First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
* EMR: Cerner experience highly preferred; must be comfortable picking up EMR systems quickly if no Cerner experience; please include Cerner experience and last time used in submission
* IV Pumps: Alaris
* Medication Dispensing: Pyxis

This critical access hospital features 25 beds and 3 OR suites along with 1 GI Endoscopy room. The facility provides a range of surgical services supported by CRNAs, a charge RN, respiratory therapy, and supervisory staff.
