Job Details:

* Minimum 1 year of ED experience required, 2 or more years preferred
* First-time travelers may be considered dependent on experience
* Treat patients ranging from newborns to elderly
* Typical patient types include cardiac, respiratory, and orthopedic emergency cases
* Day shift staffing: 4 nurses for 9 beds; Night shift staffing: 3 nurses for 9 beds
* No set nurse-to-patient ratios
* Every other weekend rotation required
* No on-call requirement
* Holiday coverage expectations follow regular staff rotation depending on coverage needs
* Time off requests must be submitted to manager for approval
* 2-day orientation provided
* Charge nurse support available on unit
* Respiratory therapy available during the day until 5:00 PM with after-hours options available
* Remote monitoring at nurses stations for Tele/SpO2
* EMR system: Cerner Community Works
* IV pumps: Alaris
* Medication dispensing: Pyxis
* Stryker Beds
* Floating not typical unless agreed upon in advance; potential float to Intermediate Care Unit
* No scrub color requirement
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI/MOAB
* Required skills: RSI, IV placement, cardiac monitoring and assessment

Facility:

This critical access facility operates with 25 total beds and a 9-bed emergency department with no trauma designation. The unit is supported by charge nurses, respiratory therapy during daytime hours, and remote monitoring capabilities at the nurses station for telemetry and SpO2. The facility utilizes modern technology and equipment to support comprehensive emergency care for a wide range of patient needs.
