RN - L&D

Job Details:

* 13-week assignment
* Rotating weekend schedule with every other weekend required
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No on-call requirements
* No floating policy
* Work in a 4-bed LDR unit with 1:1 patient ratio for pit and 2:1 patient ratio standard
* No unit secretary or tech support - must be able to work independently in this capacity
* Documentation system: Meditech/CPN
* 2+ years of hospital/specialty experience required
* Must have experience in labor and delivery, recovery, immediate newborn care, golden hour baby care, PACU, and C-section
* Must be able to circulate and scrub C-sections
* Ability to scrub C-sections preferred
* Meditech experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN
* Active TX RN License required - temporary licenses will not be accepted
* Patient experience skills required: AIDET and bedside shift report
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Nails must be clean and healthy
* Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
* Body art must be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

This healthcare facility operates a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit equipped to handle a full range of obstetric care services, including labor and delivery, recovery, immediate newborn care, and C-sections. The unit maintains a close patient-to-nurse ratio to ensure high-quality, personalized care. The facility utilizes Meditech/CPN for documentation and is committed to providing a structured and supportive environment for both patients and clinical staff.
