Opportunity:

RN - Medical ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend schedule required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 in a 26-bed Medical ICU
* Must be willing to float to other Medical-Surgical Units and Intensive Care Units as needed
* Work with equipment including ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, glucometers, and iMobile phones
* Document using Meditech EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation) system
* Perform procedures including intubations, cardioversions, ventriculostomy drain placement and management, IABP management, CRRT, and proning of patients
* Manage ventilators and critical care drips with thorough cardiac, neuro, and respiratory assessment skills
* Practice hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, and completion of My Care Board during hand-off using AIDET principles
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS; TNCC a plus
* Required dress code: Ceil blue scrubs with optional white or ceil blue scrub jacket
* Must have ICU experience with strong communication skills and ability to work in a diverse environment
* Must be located 50+ miles from the facility
* Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
