Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics including general ED patients such as trauma, stroke, STEMI, and behavioral health
* Patient ratios: RN 1:4 (variable based on patient acuity); Tech 1:11
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; TNCC and NRP preferred
* Required skills include EKGs, IV starts, familiarity with TNKase administration, nebulizer treatments, initiating BiPAP, suture removal, assisting with casting, and vent management
* Charge nurse experience should be noted if applicable
* Charting system: FirstNet
* Shift schedule: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with additional shift options available
* Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
* No on-call required
* Holiday coverage as needed; time off requires manager approval
* Two days of hospital orientation including time within the department, plus one day with a preceptor
* No floating required
* Scrub color: Any color, professional; hospital scrubs available but not required
* Free parking available on site
* On-site locker/changing room and gym available

Facility:

This 89-licensed-bed teaching facility features an 11-bed emergency department including 3 trauma ED beds, 1 behavioral seclusion room, and 2 negative pressure rooms. The facility provides robust support staffing including ED providers, mid-level providers, a 24/7 hospitalist, house supervisor, receptionist, ED techs, and a critical care transport team. Security is on site 24/7, and the facility fosters a welcoming and collaborative community culture across all units.
