Job Details:

* Work 10-hour day shifts with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM
* No evening or weekend shifts required
* On-call requirement of 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend, with holidays covered by call
* 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio; nurses circulate with scrubbing as a plus but not required
* Scrub techs are utilized on the unit
* Floating between units is not required
* Orientation includes 1 week of paperwork and 1 week partnered with a preceptor
* Work in main OR handling primarily orthopedic cases including total hips, knees, and joints
* Pavilion cases include neuro and ortho spine, general, gynecology, urology, and ENT
* CV and robotic cases only assigned to providers with relevant experience
* 15-25 cases per day with approximately 400 cases per month; 20-25% are inpatient cases
* Critical patients transition directly to ICU from the OR
* EMR system: Cerner Surginet; experience with this system strongly preferred
* Anesthesia performed exclusively by anesthesiologists with no CRNAs
* Scrubs provided by the facility
* Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
* Required certification: BLS
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department with 4 beds in the main OR and 8 beds in the pavilion, supporting a high volume of diverse surgical cases. The facility maintains specialized teams for cardiovascular and robotic procedures and follows very particular processes within its OR suites to ensure the highest standard of patient care. Anesthesia services are provided exclusively by anesthesiologists, and critical post-operative patients receive seamless transitions to the ICU.
