Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Every other holiday requirement
* Patient ratio of 1 to 4
* Must wear Caribbean Blue scrubs
* Auto lunch deductions applied
* Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
* 2-shift floor specific orientation required and must be completed during week one
* 5+ years of experience required
* Meditech 6.15 EMR experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI
* BSN not required
* Treat patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
* Handle trauma, CVA, orthopedic, and neurological cases
* Nurses responsible for own lab draws and IV starts
* Charge nurse and nurse aides/paramedics available per shift
* Security and patient sitters available on-site
* 24/7 respiratory therapy dedicated to the ER
* Central monitoring tech available
* Facility sees approximately 180 to 200 patient visits per day
* 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatry on-site

This acute care facility operates a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 180 to 200 patient visits per day. The emergency department is supported by 24/7 respiratory therapy, round-the-clock pharmacy services, central monitoring techs, and dedicated security and patient sitters. The facility serves as a CVA center and provides care for a wide range of conditions including trauma, orthopedic, and neurological cases, while also maintaining a 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatry.
