Speech Therapist

Job Details:

* Assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders to help individuals enhance their communication and swallowing abilities
* Perform direct patient care including comprehensive evaluations and treatment sessions
* Complete thorough patient documentation including initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge reports
* Contact insurance companies regarding patient benefits and coverage
* Prepare materials and equipment for evaluation and treatment sessions
* Provide education to multidisciplinary staff including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workers
* Share evaluation results and recommendations based on current research and best practices
* Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for healthcare staff
* Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure patient-centered treatment approaches
* Maintain clean treatment rooms following patient sessions
* Provide reminder calls to patients for scheduled appointments
* Assist patients and families with hospital navigation and guidance
* Perform additional duties as requested by management
