Opportunity:
ICU RN - Critical Care Flex Pool
Job Details:
* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 3 shifts per week
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Patient ratios of 3-4:1 in the ICU
* Weekend shifts required as needed
* No on-call requirements
* 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted
* Must have experience with cardiac drips (no vasopressors)
* Must be able to manage and interpret dysrhythmias
* RNs must read and interpret their own strips
* Floating required to PCU, MS/Tele units (Humphrey, 3 North, 3 West, Kendrick & 2 East), and Cardiac Monitoring Room based on unit census - floating may occur often
* Must be comfortable floating without restrictions
* Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include neurosurgical and general surgery, neuro trauma, ortho trauma, sepsis, respiratory failure, and renal failure
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
* Charting system: Cerner (experience preferred)
* Scrub color: Any color permitted for RNs
* Free parking available
* Must adhere to quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license required
* Candidate must be available to work 2 of the facility's recognized holidays

This short-term acute care facility is a teaching hospital and Level I trauma center serving a large geographic area. With 268 total staffed beds and a 40-bed ICU, the facility provides comprehensive care across multiple specialized units. The ICU manages a wide range of critical patients including neurosurgical, general surgery, neuro trauma, and ortho trauma cases, with robust interdisciplinary support services available to the care team.
