Job Details:

* 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
* Weekday and weekend call rotation required
* Holiday call rotation as needed
* One weeknight on-call 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM per rotation
* One weekend 24-hour on-call shift (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) per month
* 30-minute call response time required; providers on call more than 30 minutes away may be required to stay on-site
* Float to outpatient surgery as needed
* Scrubs provided for RNs and OR Techs
* 3-shift/1-week unit-specific orientation
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA); PALS preferred
* Minimum 2-3 years of OR experience required
* Minimum 2-3 previous travel assignments required
* Ortho experience required
* Must have experience passing arms in and out for Robotics (Da Vinci and Rosa)
* Must have EPIC experience
* Must be comfortable working as the only RN overnight with 2 techs
* Scrubbing is a plus but not required for RNs
* Experience across all surgical specialties required for evening/night shifts
* OR Tech responsibilities include room turnover (no aides or housekeeping on unit)
* Common cases include general surgery, ENT, eyes, ortho, robotics, neuro spine, trauma, vascular, and pediatric dental/ENT cases
* All surgical cases covered except CVOR and L&D C-sections
* Facility uses EPIC EMR system

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department with 9 operating rooms, 1 procedure room, and 1 hybrid room, handling 35-45 cases per day. The OR runs 24/7 and covers a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, robotics, neuro spine, trauma, vascular, and pediatric cases. The department is well-equipped with advanced robotic technology including Da Vinci and Rosa systems and maintains a highly experienced surgical team.
