Job Details:

* Night shift position in a 36-bed Intensive Care Unit
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
* 6-9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
* Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
* Holiday shifts required
* Call or standby requirement determined by Nurse Manager
* Floating requirements determined by Nurse Manager; may float within Zone 1 if needed, including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
* Titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized drips
* Work with respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilators
* Respiratory therapy support available 24/7
* Intensivist in-house coverage available
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain
* Must be able to perform NIHSS assessments
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* Must be within 60 miles of facility; driver's license must be submitted
* Must be in state for week of orientation

This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering a comprehensive Intensive Care Unit with 36 beds and robust clinical support services. The facility operates with an intensivist in-house model and provides 24/7 respiratory therapy coverage, ensuring high-quality care for critically ill patients. The organization utilizes EPIC as its electronic health record system and supports both self-scheduling and block scheduling to promote work-life balance for clinical staff.
