RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* No weekend requirement
* No on-call required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Float between like units required
* Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* 24-hour orientation
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Any color; L&D and OR scrubs provided
* Free parking available
* Patient age groups: Neonates and Adults
* Daily census of 12 patients; 10 rooms and 15 beds
* Experience circulating for cesarean sections in the operating room required
* Prefer experience at a facility performing a minimum of 200 deliveries per month
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, LA City Fire Card (obtained within the last 30 days)
* California state license required and must be in hand prior to start
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* RTO must be included at time of submission; requests beyond 7 days may require additional approval
* All travelers expected to float between facilities within the state

This is an acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 377 total staffed beds, reflecting a strong commitment to nursing excellence and high-quality patient care. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services and is equipped with modern technology, including Epic charting, to support clinical staff in delivering exceptional care. The Labor & Delivery unit consists of 15 beds across 10 rooms, with a focus on high-volume obstetric care in a collaborative and well-resourced environment.
