Job Details:

* Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend coverage required, may change based on need
* Floating to other units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs
* Staff will only float to units they are qualified for and tasks for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented
* Minimum 1 year of experience in the ER field required
* First-time travelers will be reviewed based on skill and experience
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Documentation system: EPIC
* Medication system: Omnicell
* Patient ratio: 4:1
* Patient age groups: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI, PALS, TN RN license
* Preferred certification: TNCC
* Key clinical skills include: triage, IV placement and management, blood product administration, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, emergency medications, procedural sedation, arterial line and central line management, chest tube management, care of ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, splint application, and management of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions

Facility:

This facility operates a high-volume emergency department with 27 rooms and 44 beds, seeing approximately 130 patients per day. The emergency department serves a diverse patient population across all age groups and is supported by interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The facility is both a STEMI-certified and stroke-certified center, equipped to handle a wide range of critical and emergent medical conditions.
