Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

* Work 4x10-hour day shifts with start times varying between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM
* Shifts may extend until all cases are completed
* Unit is not open on weekends; however, call rotation is required
* Weekend call runs from Friday evening through Monday morning and is subject to change based on unit needs
* Call rotation covers inpatient, urgent, and emergent cases as facility is a STEMI Center
* Cath Lab experience required - IR/Neuro experience not required
* Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, and airway management
* Must be comfortable with cardiac drips including Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressins, as well as balloon pumps
* Scrubbing not required
* Cases vary from 10 to 22 per day across 5 suites covering coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro, and EP cases
* RN is responsible for conscious sedation; cases are performed with 2 techs
* EMR system: Merge for Cath Lab documentation and Cerner for hospital charting
* Hospital-provided scrubs
* No floating required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (all must be through AHA)
* Current CA RN license required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a fully equipped Cardiac Cath Lab with 5 suites dedicated to a wide range of cardiac and vascular procedures, including coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro, and electrophysiology cases. As a designated STEMI Center, the facility provides around-the-clock coverage for urgent and emergent cardiac cases. The unit is supported by experienced permanent staff and a structured tech team, ensuring a collaborative and well-organized clinical environment.
