Open Position: Pharmacist - Pharmacist Inpatient

Opportunity:

Inpatient Pharmacist

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM schedule with shift times varying but not extending past 9:00 PM
* Must hold a PharmD degree
* Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of North Carolina
* Minimum of one (1) year of experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Prior experience with pharmacist-to-dose protocols preferred
* Provide customer service to healthcare teammates over the phone and in person
* Verify medication orders, reviewing for patient allergies, drug interactions, drug-disease state interactions, and appropriate therapy
* Verify home medications against medication reconciliation reports and utilize pharmacist-to-dose consults
* Consult with physicians, residents, and other members of the healthcare team when appropriate
* Check IV admixtures to ensure accuracy of final product and patient safety in accordance with USP 797/800 guidelines

Facility:

This facility's pharmacy operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, supporting a full inpatient hospital environment. The pharmacy team works collaboratively with physicians, residents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication management for patients. The facility provides a dynamic and comprehensive pharmacy practice setting with opportunities to engage in clinical decision-making and interdisciplinary care.
