Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
* Every-other weekend requirement
* Occasional holiday shifts required
* 36 or 48 hour guaranteed hours per week
* Patient ratio of 3-4:1
* Primary placement at St. Joseph Medical Center with required float capability throughout Region Two including St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, WA; St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw, WA; and St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA
* Fast track unit available
* 33 beds including 2 trauma bays and 5 psych/seclusion rooms
* Unit sees 125-140 patients per day with common diagnoses including stroke, STEMI, trauma, and ACS
* Scrub color requirement: Navy blue top and bottom
* Charting system: Epic
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
* Charge nurse coverage available 24/7
* Security available 24/7
* IV team available 24/7
* Respiratory therapy available 24/7
* ED technicians on unit
* Experience with ventilators required
* Lab draws required
* Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment
* BSN not required
* One day of floor-specific orientation provided

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive emergency department with 33 beds including dedicated trauma bays and psychiatric seclusion rooms. The emergency department is supported by 24/7 charge nurse coverage, security, and IV team services, along with around-the-clock respiratory therapy. The facility utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system and provides a full range of emergency services supported by both ED physicians and mid-level providers.
