SLP - Speech Therapy

Job Details:

* Work four 10-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
* 37-hour weekly guarantee
* Weekend coverage required with travelers typically working Friday through Monday, schedule may change for vacation coverage
* Holiday shifts required as needed
* Cover ICU, acute tower, and rehab unit with time shared equally between acute inpatient and acute rehab
* Treat 8 to 10 patients per day alongside a team of 3 SLPs
* Common diagnoses include stroke, pneumonia, and sepsis
* Must have 1+ year of experience in acute care
* Must be competent in video fluoroscopic swallow study (VFSS)
* Rehab unit experience preferred
* May float to a satellite location approximately 30 minutes away
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: BLS, CCC-SLP
* Scrubs permitted; color must not match other departments, list of approved colors provided upon hire

Facility:

This acute care facility operates at a Trauma Level 3 designation and provides comprehensive inpatient services across multiple care settings, including acute inpatient and acute rehabilitation units. The speech therapy department is supported by a dedicated manager on each shift and utilizes rehab aides to assist with patient care. The facility uses EPIC as its electronic medical records system and maintains a collaborative team environment for traveling clinicians.
