RN - Medsurg Ortho

Job Details:

* 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
* Every other weekend requirement with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
* First to float - may float to telemetry unit (1:4 ratio) or between other med-surg floors
* Patient ratio of 1:5 on unit
* 1 shift of orientation provided upon starting on unit
* Common patient diagnoses include hips, knees, shoulders, and spine - no drips
* Must be able to read and interpret telemetry; portable tele box used as needed with monitor tech available - dysrhythmia exam required
* Charting system: Cerner
* 1 nurse aide available for 8 hours during day shift
* Clinical supervisor serves as charge nurse with no patient assignment and provides break relief
* Hospitalist on-site 24/7; respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
* Holidays worked into permanent staff rotation
* Scrub color: Navy
* Required certifications: BLS
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in med-surg ortho specialty required
* Previous travel experience required
