Opportunity:
RN - Emergency Department
Job Details:
* 48 hours guaranteed per week is an option
* Mid-shift schedule with shifts ranging as early as 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM and as late as 1:00 PM - 1:30 AM
* Every third weekend required
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* 24-bed Emergency Department unit
* Unit secretary available 21 hours per day with 5 RN core staff
* Equipment includes Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Floating is rare and only occurs if other staff have been flexed home
* Patient experience requirements include use of AIDET and whiteboards with positive, can-do culture
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center required
* Advanced knowledge required in trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis, and triage
* Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC
* Preferred certifications: CPI, CEN, or TCRN
* Current Kansas RN license required
* Dress code: Cobalt blue top with black or cobalt blue pants, solid color, closed-toe shoes required

This facility is a Level 2 trauma center featuring a 24-bed Emergency Department equipped with advanced medical technology including fluid warmers, GE monitoring systems, and Arctic Sun capabilities. The unit maintains a structured staffing model with dedicated unit secretaries and core nursing staff, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
