RN - ER

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule
* All shifts include every other weekend
* Scheduled 4 weeks at a time on a shift rotation
* 19-bed emergency department seeing approximately 170 patients per day
* Patient ratio of 1:4, unless assigned an ICU or step-down patient
* Charge RN available in department without a patient assignment
* Break nurses available without patient assignments
* See a wide variety of patients from young to vulnerable populations
* High acuity trauma cases present including MVA, penetrating wounds, gunshot wounds, and falls; travelers will not be assigned trauma patients
* Charting system: Meditech via WOWs provided to each RN
* Medication administration via Pyxis; IV pumps: Solaris
* Scrubs: Any color of professional scrubs; no other facility logos permitted
* Minimum 2 years of experience working in an ER setting required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Active California RN license required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all issued through American Heart Association), TNCC, and NIHSS
