Open Position: RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

* Work 5x8 day shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
* Every third weekend required
* On-call required approximately every third weekend from 3:00 PM Friday through 6:00 AM Monday morning
* Additional weekday call required after 3:00 PM, split amongst traveler and two full-time RNs
* Must stay within 30 minutes of the facility during on-call hours or have the option to stay on-site
* Patient ratio is 1:1
* Daily census averages 14 patients with 3 procedure rooms
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Perform and assist with endoscopy procedures including colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, bronchoscopies, PEG tube placements, and tracheostomies
* Administer and monitor conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation
* Perform airway management, IV placement and maintenance, and 12-lead EKG/ECG
* Utilize equipment including electrosurgical units, ERBE, balloon dilators, polyp snares, and lithotripters
* Handle specimen collection and labeling
* Chart using Epic (experience required)
* Wear navy blue scrubs
* No floating required between units or sister facilities
* Travel experience required
* 2 years of Endoscopy experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
* Block scheduling available upon request but not guaranteed
* No parking cost

This acute care hospital is a 286-bed facility offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The endoscopy unit is supported by interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and transportation. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and maintains a collaborative environment between travelers and full-time staff to ensure exceptional patient care delivery.
