Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

* Evaluate patient outcomes and make changes to the plan of care within the multidisciplinary team
* Provide explanation and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons regarding respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge planning
* Accept reassignment to other units when necessary
* Share clinical knowledge with staff and students and serve as a role model for clinical practice
* Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care
* Provide respiratory care as ordered by physician while maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff
* Associate's degree required
* Required certifications and licenses: RRT, Illinois License, BLS, NRP-MHC
