Opportunity:

RT - STM

Job Details:

* Night shift coverage from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend coverage required on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights
* Holiday coverage required
* On-call coverage approximately 4 days per month with a 1-hour response time
* Clinician will be the only therapist on shift during nights with a second therapist available on call
* No self-scheduling; scheduling is determined by the facility
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Treat 10 to 30 patients per day including adults, pediatrics, and neonates
* Cover inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room areas
* Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) and perform EKGs
* Neonate experience with Bubble CPAP and ventilator management required
* No independent intubation required
* No floating outside of the RT department; may float within Zone 1 in extreme circumstances
* Charting system: EPIC
* Dress code: Solid colored scrubs, any color
* Equipment used: Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Hamilton C1 CPAP and BiPAP, AirVo and Vapotherm high-flow devices, Fisher and Paykel Bubble CPAP
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS, NRP, and either RRT or CRT via NBRC
* Must be within 60 miles of facility; valid driver's license must be submitted
* Must be available in-state for the full week of orientation

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive respiratory therapy department supported by experienced managers, lead therapists, and dedicated preceptors for orientation. The department provides services across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room settings, utilizing modern respiratory equipment and an EPIC charting system. The facility maintains a hospitalist in-house and is committed to high-quality patient care across a diverse patient population including adults, pediatrics, and neonates.
