Opportunity:

RN - CCU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend schedule required
* 6 weekends required per schedule period
* 3 winter holidays required
* No on-call or standby requirement
* Floating to other units may be required
* Self-scheduling available
* 12-bed Medical/Surgical ICU unit
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
* Titrate drips including sedation and cardiac medications
* Work with respiratory equipment including ventilators and BiPAP; RNs expected to manage equipment if RT is not present
* Required to read and interpret telemetry monitor strips independently
* Charge nurse present on each shift and does not take a patient assignment
* Intensivist/hospitalist in-house 24/7
* Respiratory therapy available on the same floor
* 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Royal blue
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)

This acute care facility operates a 12-bed Critical Care Unit providing high-acuity Medical/Surgical ICU services to its patient population. The unit is supported by on-site intensivists and hospitalists available 24/7, as well as respiratory therapy staff located on the same floor. The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic charting system and maintains a structured scheduling environment with self-scheduling options for nursing staff.
