Opportunity:

Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* Phlebotomy experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ASCP, ASCP MT, ASCP-MLS, ASCP-MLT, BLS
* Required licenses and certifications: APTA - Neurology Certification and ASCP or AMT
* Proficiency in laboratory skills including blood banking procedures, specimen collection and preparation, manual differential, microscopic urinalysis, gram stain, culture plating, venipuncture, and PCR testing
* Experience with transfusion reaction workup, crossmatch procedures, and blood product handling required
* Treat patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient ratio of 3 during days and 1 during nights
* 80 orientation hours included
* Candidates must reside more than 40 miles from facility
* Must provide a valid state license, at minimum pending with ETA clearly stated
* References required
* Recent Epic EMR experience required

Facility:

This community hospital provides comprehensive clinical laboratory and patient care services across multiple disciplines. The facility supports interdisciplinary care through IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. With a daily census of approximately 30 patients and 20 visits per day, the facility maintains a structured and collaborative environment focused on quality patient outcomes.
