Opportunity:

PCU/Stepdown RN

Job Details:

* PCU/Stepdown unit position with cardiac drip experience required - ability to titrate and manage cardiac drips is a hard stop requirement
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Block schedules not required
* Expected patient ratios of 1:3-4
* 48-hour shifts approved
* Position may float between units - if overstaffed, travelers are first to float to Telemetry or Medical/Surgical floors
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility - refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Candidates may choose one holiday - either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but cannot have both
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Compact license must be in hand at submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Charting system experience required - Epic used at facility
* Required skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, cardiac drip management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, telemetry, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process and prior to start
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal

Facility:

This is a short-term acute care facility and Level II Trauma Center with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation. The facility operates as a teaching hospital with a total of 629 staffed beds. The organization maintains high standards of patient care with no parking fees for staff and utilizes Epic for charting. Scrub color for RNs is any color.
