OR RN - SCG

Job Details:

* Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
* Evening and weekend call required
* Weeknight call shift hours are 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM and weekend call shift hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
* Most staff take Saturday and Sunday call together, though not required
* Holiday call required
* Call response time is 30 minutes
* Work in a 4-suite OR with 1 GI Endoscopy Room averaging 10 cases per day
* Common cases include robotic and laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair, appendectomies, basic orthopedics, gynecology, and podiatry
* Robot and GI experience preferred
* Scrubbing is not required for RN role
* Work alongside at least 1 OR tech and 1 first assist per case
* Charge nurse and house supervisor support available; contractor will not be required to work in either role
* No floating outside of the OR; in extreme circumstances, floating may occur within Zone 4 only
* Charting system is Epic
* Ceil blue scrubs required and will be provided
* Orientation checkoff required for contract staff with time spent with staff until comfortable
* BSN not required
* Required certification: BLS (AHA)

This acute care facility operates at a Trauma Level 3 designation and provides a full range of surgical services including robotic, laparoscopic, orthopedic, gynecological, and gastrointestinal procedures. The operating room environment is well-staffed with OR technicians and first assists supporting each case, and the facility utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system. The organization is committed to thorough onboarding and provides structured orientation to ensure contract staff feel confident and supported in their role.
