RN - Long Term Care

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with an every other weekend schedule
* Schedule is posted 4 weeks at a time; block scheduling is not available
* Minimum 2 years of experience working as an RN in a Long-Term Care setting required
* Must be licensed as an RN in the State of Nebraska or a Compact State
* Active BLS issued through American Heart Association required
* Will not float between hospital and LTC facility
* Work in a 43-bed licensed LTC and Skilled Facility with no designated memory care unit
* Average census of 25-27 residents across 3 hallways with private and semi-private rooms
* Day staffing includes 1 RN, 1 Med Aide, 2 CNAs, 1 Bath Aide, and 1 Restorative Care CNA
* Night staffing includes 1 RN and 1 CNA, with occasional additional CNA support from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
* Charting via Point Click Care; communication via pagers; lifts include sit-to-stand and Hoyer
* Administer medications using medication carts with bubble pack distribution
* IV fluids administered at the hospital, not at the LTC facility
* May occasionally be required to perform blood draws on residents
* Dress code requires professional scrubs in any color; no facility logos, no crocs; nails must be appropriate length for resident care; piercings should be professional; tattoos and vibrant hair colors are permitted
* Agency-provided badge must be worn at chest level at all times
* Reliable personal transportation required as the community has no public transportation available

This facility is a Critical Access Hospital and rural health clinic that has been a leader in rural healthcare since its founding. The facility operates a 13-bed critical access hospital complemented by an attached rural health clinic, as well as a 43-bed licensed Long-Term Care and Skilled Nursing Facility.
