Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg/Tele

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
* No on-call required
* May be required to float to other Med/Surg Tele units or ICU (low acuity)
* Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit operates with 41 beds and a daily census of 36
* 36 orientation hours included
* 1 year of experience required; travel experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Epic EMR experience within the last 18 months required and must be clearly documented on profile
* Must pass Epic competency exam; only one attempt is allowed
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA only), and NIHSS
* Active Tennessee or compact nursing license required
* Skills include but are not limited to: telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line care and management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care and management, wound care and wound vac, PICC line management, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post hemodialysis management, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP management, PCA management, phlebotomy, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams

Facility:

This facility operates a busy Med Surg/Tele floor with 41 beds, serving adult and geriatric patient populations. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The facility utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system and maintains high standards for patient care delivery.
