Job Details:

* Night shift position
* Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience required, 3+ years preferred
* Team nursing model with RN/LPN/PCT support; patient ratios are higher but supported by PCC, RN, and additional staff
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend rotation required as needed
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Large hospital experience required
* Prior travel assignment required - first-time travelers not accepted
* Must live at least 100 miles from the facility - local travelers not accepted
* Active RN license in the state or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Patient population: adults
* Unit capacity: 45 beds with a daily census of 45
* General Med/Surg patient diagnoses
* Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg, MS/Tele
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
* If assignment includes end-of-year holidays and all three major holidays fall within the assignment period, traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, traveler must be willing to work at least 1
* RNs may be floated between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
* All requested time off must be submitted at the time of submission

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center, offering comprehensive emergency and surgical services to the surrounding community. The facility operates a 45-bed Medical Surgical unit utilizing a team nursing model that includes RNs, LPNs, and PCTs working collaboratively to deliver high-quality patient care. As a large hospital with Level I Trauma designation, the facility maintains high standards for clinical expertise and professional accountability.
