Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg Oncology

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
* 3 shifts per week schedule
* Every 3rd weekend required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (weekend days are Fridays and Saturdays)
* Rotating holiday requirement
* No on-call or standby requirement
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* 21-bed Med/Surg Oncology unit in an acute care setting
* Care for medical/surgical patients with specialty in post-operative cancer intervention including prostatectomy, mastectomy, and similar procedures
* Oncology certification is a plus but not required; chemotherapy administration is not required
* Required to titrate drips including heparin, lidocaine, and TPN
* Central telemetry monitoring with RN responsibility to notice changes
* Nurse aides available dependent on sitter needs at a 1:15 ratio
* Floating is rare and only to other medical/surgical units when needed
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Navy
* Unit/department-specific orientation provided
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* Driver's license required at submittal
* Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
* Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
* Pass/fail open book exam required during orientation with a minimum score of 90% to pass
