Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1289.48

Opportunity:

EMT - Phlebotomy experience required

Job Details:

* Work every other weekend as part of the schedule
* Patient ratios of 9-11 patients per tech, though ratios may vary based on triage and boarding needs
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 6 months of experience required
* Phlebotomy experience is required
* Acute care experience defined as Emergency Department or EMS experience required
* Perform peripheral venipuncture and blood culture collection
* Obtain 12-lead EKGs
* Provide splinting and wound care
* Assist with crutch and mobility teaching
* Maintain sterile instruments and oxygen tank supplies
* Assist with patient flow in triage
* Work closely alongside staff EMTs, RNs, and physicians
* Treat patients of all ages including adults and geriatrics
* Operate in a high-volume, high-acuity environment
* Required certifications: EMT, NREMT, or MN EMT
* Charting experience with Epic/Excellian required
* Required skills include AED, glucometer operation, vital signs, phlebotomy, wound care, and immobilization of painful, swollen, or deformed extremities
* Scrub color: Light Teal (aquamarine)

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a Level 3 trauma center and teaching hospital with 317 staffed beds serving an urban community. The facility operates as a comprehensive stroke center and heart-ready hospital with an in-house cath lab, providing high-acuity care to patients of all ages. The emergency department is fast-paced and high-volume, supported by a multidisciplinary team of EMTs, nurses, and physicians dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
