Job Details:

* 16-week or 26-week contract available
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Block schedules not required
* 48 hours per week approved
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* Position may float between units to meet unit needs
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* At least 1 year of telemetry experience required
* Neurology experience not required but must be comfortable working in a heavy neurology unit and willing to learn
* Proficiency in Epic charting system required
* Patient diagnoses include neuroscience, neurology, neurosurgical, and telemetry cases
* Unit is a designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation
* Unit holds Spine Center of Excellence JCAHO designation and NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center designation
* Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube management, craniotomy care, CVA care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery care, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, spinal cord injury care, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury care
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Scrub color: Any color for RN
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation. With 629 total staffed beds, this teaching hospital provides a wide range of specialized services including a designated stroke unit, Spine Center of Excellence, and a Level 3 Epilepsy Center. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers interpretation services as interdisciplinary support, providing a comprehensive and well-equipped environment for healthcare professionals.
