Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
* Patient ratio of 1:4-5 with 36 rooms and an average daily census of 35
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIH preferred
* Charting systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
* No on-call requirements
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4th?12th)
* Holiday coverage expectations: traveler is expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period
* Telemetry unit with diagnoses including CHF, MI/Chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
* Must be able to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, Cardizem, lidocaine, Bumex, and heparin
* Key skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, post cardiac angiogram and cath care, tracheostomy care, wound care, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Sara Steady and other lift equipment available on unit
* GA or Compact nursing license required
