L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor & Delivery
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend required
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN (FHM), and NRP required and must be in hand at time of submission
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Valid KS or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* Must reside outside of 50-mile local radius; locals not accepted
* Float to Postpartum as needed based on facility needs
* Care for laboring patients including high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
* Perform and assist with C-Sections and External Cephalic Versions
* Provide OB Triage, Postpartum, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery support
* Care for patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Skilled in a wide range of L&D procedures including fetal monitoring, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, neonatal resuscitation, couplet care, and hemorrhage/shock management

Facility:

This facility operates a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit supported by OB Triage, Postpartum, and a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The unit is equipped to handle complex obstetric cases including high-risk antepartum conditions, surgical deliveries, and neonatal care, providing a comprehensive and fast-paced environment for experienced L&D nurses.
