Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Previous travel experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, CVVHD/CRRT, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, post cardiac surgery care, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, sheath removal, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), ventilator management, and ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD) management
* Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs
* 24 orientation hours required
* Pre-approved time off of one block permitted

Facility:

This facility is a specialized cardiac care center offering advanced cardiovascular services and intensive care. The CVICU unit consists of 16 beds with a daily census of 10 patients, maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio. The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
