Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required

* Locals accepted within 50-mile radius
* Pending licenses not accepted; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* May be required to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Scheduling open to block schedule per manager discretion
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
* Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Daily patient load ranges from 60 to 100 patients
* Draw from all units including ICU and ER, serving patients from pediatric to geriatric populations
* Pediatrics experience preferred
* Perform general specimen processing including centrifuging, aliquoting of body fluids, and knowledge of reference labs
* Required skills include aseptic technique, blood specimen storage, centrifuge operation, chilled and warmed specimen handling, data entry, delivering specimens to laboratory, microbiological specimens, post-venipuncture site care, proper disposal and labeling, protection of specimen from light source, syringe method, vacutainer method, and pediatric finger and heel sticks
* Trauma Level I experience required
* Charting system: Epic
* Required certifications: BLS, CPT I, CPT I (California)
* Scrub color for RNs: any solid color, typically Royal Blue or Navy
* Free parking on first day; assignment parking provided during orientation
