Opportunity:
RN - Radiation Oncology
Job Details:
* Work 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts on weekdays
* Must have at least 2 years of RN Radiation Oncology experience (not Medical Oncology or general Oncology RN experience)
* Function in a collaborative role with the Radiation Oncology Team to provide continuity and quality patient care
* Assess and provide appropriate nursing interventions for actual or potential problems related to disease process, treatment course, and follow-up period
* Emphasize teaching, counseling, and supportive functions to assist patients and/or families in coping with cancer diagnosis and treatment
* Assist in the evaluation and examination of patients with the Radiation Oncologist
* Serve as liaison between Radiation Oncology and other hospitals, departments, physician groups, and counseling/support groups
* Assess and provide appropriate referrals for alternative resources including recovery, rehabilitation, nursing home care, hospice, and nutritional services
* Coordinate oncology patient care with other interdisciplinary staff
* Apply knowledge of chronic illness, comorbidity management, and latest evidence-based oncology practices
* Must be able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinic environment with strong written and verbal communication skills
* Must be highly organized and flexible
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association
* Colorado RN license in good standing required
* Must submit resume, skills sheet, BLS and ACLS certifications, and NURSYS license verification
