Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* 36 or 48 hours per week with 40 hours guaranteed per week
* Weekend rotation required
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum of 1 year of experience required, including IV starts
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratios of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Patients include adults and geriatrics
* Float to other units required when short-staffed
* No block scheduling greater than 3 or 4 shifts
* Any requests for time off must be approved and documented prior to start of assignment; keep RTO to a minimum, preferably none in the first two weeks
* Expect to work some holidays
* Charting system: Meditech required
* Scrub color: Any color; OR/L&D/Cath Lab scrubs are provided
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Required skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drain (EVD), GI surgery, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Infection Prevention, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Sheath Removal, Starting and maintaining IVs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)

Facility:

This is an acute care hospital designated as a Level 3 Trauma Center with 149 staffed beds. The ICU unit consists of 12 beds with a daily census of 8 patients and is supported by an interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and a Unit Secretary. The facility provides a well-rounded clinical environment with comprehensive support services to ensure high-quality patient care.
