Registered Dietitian

Job Details:

* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with speech pathology and other providers across the care process
* Serve adult and geriatric patient populations with a daily census of 10-12 patients
* Treat patients with cancer and comorbidities including obesity (breast, colon, prostate populations), diabetes, heart disease, and GI complications such as ostomy and IV feedings
* Provide medical nutrition therapy and symptom management
* Utilize In Body 520 body composition analysis equipment
* Practice patient advocacy as an independent, critical thinker with strong communication skills
* Interdisciplinary support available includes physical therapy, interpretation services, and social services
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
* Illinois state license required in-hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: RD/RDN, Illinois State License
* Required skills: Adult Outpatient/Clinic, Enteral Nutrition (tube feedings), Nutrition Therapy Complications, Therapeutic Diet Orders, Cachexia, Cancer, Develop Plan of Treatment, Dietary Guidelines, Nutrient Deficiencies, Nutrition Assessments/Reassessments, Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE), Protein Calorie Malnutrition, Refeeding Syndrome
* Preferred skills include experience with diabetes, dysphagia, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), short gut syndrome, eating disorders, malabsorption syndromes, and various GI conditions
