Ambulatory Care RN

Job Details:

* Clinic-only RN role assisting with inbasket management, scheduling, and patient education
* No floating between units required
* No on-call responsibilities
* No weekend shifts required
* No block schedules required
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
* Scrub color: Any color
* No parking fee
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Travel experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Required skills include: AED, arrhythmia interpretation, biohazard waste disposal, cardiac arrest/CPR, cardiology, chart preparation, chest pain management, disability forms, follow-up phone calls, hypertension management, medication refills, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, patient teaching, pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, telephone triage, and universal precautions
* Adult patient population
* Cardiovascular patient diagnoses
* Interpretation services available as interdisciplinary support
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal

This facility is a Short Term Acute Care institution and serves as both a Level II Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. With 629 total staffed beds, it is a large teaching hospital equipped to handle a wide range of medical conditions. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and provides interpretation services to support interdisciplinary patient care.
