Open Position: Dietitian - Registered Dietician

Opportunity:

Clinical Dietitian

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
* Floating required as needed throughout the Kern County Network
* EPIC experience required
* Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent required
* Master's Degree required only if eligibility for examination began on or after 1/1/24
* Dietetic internship or equivalent required
* Registered Dietitian (RD) licensure required within 6 months of completion of residency program
* Minimum two years of recent experience in field required
* Current BLS certification required
* Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and reassessments for patients with special needs or those meeting nutritional risk criteria
* Develop and implement individualized nutritional plans of care including appropriate meal patterns, monitoring nutritional intake, and initiating appropriate interventions
* Provide patient and family nutritional education and serve as an educational resource for healthcare team personnel
* Administer medical nutrition therapy in a safe and accurate manner while monitoring and documenting patient response
* Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care
* Orient and instruct new professional, registered, assistive, and ancillary personnel on job duties and clinical activities
