Clinical Interview Unit - Manager Approval

Job Details:

* Labor and Delivery RN or Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) position available
* Shift times: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (days) and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (nights)
* ANM shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
* Weekend rotation every other weekend, variable based on need
* No mandatory on-call requirements
* Holidays observed on a fair and equitable basis
* Schedule made in 6-week increments and released 2 weeks prior to start
* Block schedule cannot be guaranteed; will be utilized to fill gaps in schedule
* High acuity patient experience required including hypertension, magnesium administration, C-sections, preterm labor, vaginal deliveries, epidurals, inductions, antepartum, PROM, multiple births, and postpartum hemorrhage
* Patient ratios per AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 active labor, 1:2 non-active laboring, 1:2-3 antepartum dependent on acuity
* Up to 300 deliveries per month with a 33% C-section rate
* LD RN skills required: labor management and delivery of high-risk OB patients, OB triage, OR circulation, cervical checks, fetal monitoring strip interpretation, and newborn recovery as needed
* ANM skills required: charge nurse experience is a must, occasional patient assignments, OB ED patient management, strong interpersonal skills, staff rounding, conflict resolution, and willingness to educate staff
* EPIC EMR experience required
* Equipment used includes Alaris CareFusion IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Centricity/Qx fetal surveillance monitors, CAD Solaris epidural pumps, Panda Warmers, and Covidien SCDs
* Floating may include antepartum (within L&D) and postpartum (4th floor) as needed; no floating for ANM
* Scrubs provided by facility and must not be worn outside of the facility
* Free badge-access parking available in designated areas
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Intermediate FHM (AWHONN)
* Minimum 2 years of experience required for LD RN with previous travel experience; 5+ years preferred
* ANM must have solid charge nurse experience and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience

Facility:

This facility features a robust Labor and Delivery unit with 34 beds, including 15 labor rooms, 12 antepartum beds, 4 OB ED beds, and 3 operating rooms, along with an 18-bed postpartum unit. The unit is well-supported with CNAs, scrub technicians, a receptionist/HUC, phlebotomy services, a free-floating charge nurse, break nurses, respiratory therapy available 24/7, and a laborist on-site around the clock. Residents, fellows, additional physicians, and midwives provide further support, creating a comprehensive, team-oriented environment dedicated to high-quality maternal and newborn care.
