Opportunity:

Ultrasound Technologist

Job Details:

* 12-hour rotating shifts with options of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, or occasional 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
* Staff works a 2-2-3 rotating schedule between two teams
* Every other weekend requirement
* May be asked to participate in the holiday rotation
* No call or standby requirement
* Perform general ultrasound, OB, small parts, and vascular ultrasound including upper and lower venous and arterial studies
* Average of 35 scans/studies per day across 24 hours
* Work within a 3-room ultrasound department
* Must be able to start IVs
* Utilize Siemens S2000 imaging equipment
* EMR system: Community Works (Cerner); PACS system: Intellirad/Intelliconnect
* OB and arterial extremity doppler experience required
* Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
* 5-shift orientation with a preceptor provided
* Scrubs may be any clean and professional color; emerald green available to match permanent staff but not required
* Required certifications: ARDMS and/or RVT, BLS
* West Virginia state license required
* WV CARES required prior to start
* Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver's license with application (50-mile radius rule applies)

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a well-equipped imaging department with three ultrasound rooms and utilizes modern technology to support a high volume of daily studies. The department is supported by an Imaging Director and Manager available Monday through Friday during daylight hours and always reachable by phone. Radiologist coverage is available in-house until 5:00 PM, with on-call support thereafter and VRAD covering remote interpretation from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
