Job Details:

* Medical surgical unit with overflow, post-surgical, and observation responsibilities
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient ratios of 1:5/6 on days, nights, and weekends
* Unit is transitioning to team nursing model
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend coverage required on a rotation basis
* Block scheduling not available; weekend block may be considered
* Must be willing to work 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays if all three fall within the assignment period
* If only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must be willing to work at least 1
* RNs may be floated between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius
* Minimum 2 years of recent medical surgical experience required; 3+ years preferred
* At least 1 prior travel assignment required
* Must hold an active RN license in the state or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
* EPIC experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: Telemetry, IV Start
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
* Traveler must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered

Facility:

This facility operates a 42-bed medical surgical unit with a daily census of 42 patients. The unit supports a wide range of patient diagnoses including medical oncology, gynecological surgery, and general medical surgical cases. Comprehensive interdisciplinary support is available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
