Open Position: RN - Med Surg Tele

RN - Medical/Telemetry

Job Details:

* Contract options of 13 or 26 weeks available
* Strong Medical/Telemetry experience required
* Work on an Accountable Care Unit (ACU) - a geographic inpatient area responsible for clinical, service, and cost outcomes
* Unit is jointly managed by Medical Director and Nursing Leadership Team with provider teams including Physicians and Residents
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include Family Medicine ACU patients, those requiring in-hospital nursing care, monitoring or management, and pre/post-surgical patients
* Patient ratios of 5:1 on days, nights, and weekends
* Weekend coverage required
* Self-scheduling
* Up to two pre-approved days off per contract
* Unit census of 28 patients with 28 rooms and 28 beds
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary, and more
* May be required to float to other units and/or campuses based on census needs; will only float to units where competencies have been demonstrated and documented
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; previous charge experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information
