RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shift schedule with no on-call responsibilities
* Weekend coverage required
* Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced
* California state license required in-hand when applying
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required in-hand when applying (MAB or Online CPI Blue certification not accepted)
* Experience with Labor & Delivery, triage of obstetrical patients, and use of external fetal heart monitoring required
* Must be able to circulate and recover C-sections and assist with vaginal deliveries
* Experience with high-risk antepartum care including pre-eclampsia, HELLP Syndrome, preterm labor, and multiple gestation
* Must be proficient in neonatal resuscitation, newborn assessment, and APGAR scoring
* Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, antihypertensives, and other obstetric medications required
* Ability to manage central lines (CVC/PICC), insulin drips, and IV infusion pumps
* Community level experience with facility births of 100-200 per month preferred
* Patients served include neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Pre-approved time off: one request per contract period; no RTO within the first two weeks of assignment

The unit handles community-level deliveries with a volume of 100 to 200 births per month and is equipped to manage both low-risk and high-risk obstetric cases. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and maintains a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care across all stages of the birthing process.
