Job Details:

* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Weekend shifts required
* Self-scheduling with scheduling adjustments at manager's discretion for block scheduling
* On-call may be required depending on census
* May float to postpartum unit
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Number of weekend shifts per contract may increase to meet department needs
* 40 orientation hours required
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission
* Charting system: Epic experience required
* Scrub color: Solid Royal Blue; Cath Lab/L&D scrubs provided
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
* At least 1 year of L&D experience required
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process prior to start
* Sterile vaginal exams are required and are a hard stop requirement
* Key skills include but are not limited to: Labor & Delivery, Cesarean Section, Neonatal Resuscitation, Couplet Care, Mother/Baby, Epidural Anesthesia, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, Postpartum Hemorrhage management, fetal monitoring, and newborn assessment

Facility:

This acute care hospital features 200 staffed beds and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The Labor & Delivery unit consists of 5 rooms and 5 beds, with a daily census of 2 to 3 patients and approximately 15 visits per day. The facility is committed to high-quality maternal and newborn care in a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment.
