Opportunity:

LPN/LVN

Job Details:

* Provide quality nursing care to all patients utilizing full scope of practice
* Deliver care with respect for patient rights and dignity
* Work in conjunction with Health Aides to ensure rooms are stocked and checklists are completed
* Assist in ordering medical supplies as needed
* Screen calls over the phone and may be required to assist mid-levels in the clinic after hours
* Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care
* Provide care for patients ranging from birth to elderly
* Utilize medical equipment including dynamap, thermometer, and other appropriate devices
* Operate office machines including multi-line telephones, computers, and copy machines
* Must have knowledge of medical terminology and psychiatric patients
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week (note: first week of orientation begins on a Tuesday)
* Minimum education: Graduate from an LPN/LVN school
* New graduates accepted; one year of hospital experience preferred
* Must be licensed in good standing as an LPN in the State of Alaska
* Required certifications: Current CPR/BCLS certification, Current BLS
* IV certification course preferred
* Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification preferred
* Must pass and maintain required competencies for the position
